Roles for stands and conferences

Stand hosts & hostesses

Approaching visitors, qualifying them, keeping the stand tidy and handing over to your sales people at the right moment. Briefed on your product beforehand, not on the morning of day one.

Lead scanning & badge issuing

Lead capture on your system or ours, badge printing, accreditation desks and entry control. Tell us the system and the team arrives knowing it.

Reception & cloakroom

Guest lists, check-in, cloakroom and wayfinding — for conferences, receptions and evening programmes around the fair.

Artist & guest liaison

One person with one group across the whole programme: speakers before and after their slot, delegations with a fixed contact, green room and timings.

What it costs

The same hourly rate as every other standard role — trade fair work carries no premium of its own. Surcharges are listed separately.

Frequently asked questions

What does a hostess or stand host cost in Berlin?

From 26 €/h net for new clients, regularly 28 €/h net, minimum 5 hours per person and day. Trade fair days are long, so the minimum rarely binds. A team lead who coordinates a larger stand crew is 6 €/h — charged on one person in the team, not on each.

We are exhibiting at Messe Berlin from abroad. How does this work?

You book the people, we handle German employment law. We are licensed for temporary agency work under the AÜG, which means you may direct the team on your stand yourself — no separate contract of employment on your side, no payroll, no registration. Note that for clients based outside Germany we ask for payment in advance; that is a standing rule, not a judgement on any individual client.

Do your staff speak English?

German and English are standard; further languages on request. Say in your enquiry which languages the stand needs and we brief accordingly. Written briefings, quotes and invoices can be in English.

Can you do lead scanning and badge issuing?

Yes — lead capture on your device or ours, badge printing and issuing, accreditation and entry control. Tell us which system you use; the team is briefed on it before the first day, not on the morning of.

What is artist and guest liaison?

One person looking after one group or one guest across the whole programme — reception, moving between sessions, green room, timings, and being reachable throughout. It is a different job from stand staffing and usually booked for conferences, galas and festivals rather than trade fair stands.

How far in advance should we book for IFA, ITB or InnoTrans?

Earlier than for a normal event. Those weeks are the busiest in the Berlin calendar and the good people are gone first. Short-notice bookings are still possible — under seven working days a surcharge of 2 to 15 €/h applies, rising the closer to the date — but choice narrows sharply.
